Using Zoom with Just Frank
Last updated: October 20, 2026
Just Frank is the home for coaches and community-based businesses: their community, calendar, bookings, events and members in one place. The Just Frank app for Zoom connects a business owner’s own Zoom account so every booking, event and workshop gets its own Zoom meeting automatically, and the owner can see recordings and who attended.
Before you start
- A Just Frank account that owns a business or community.
- A Zoom account (free or paid).
- Only the business owner can connect or remove Zoom. Members never need to connect anything.
Adding the app
- Sign in to itsjustfrank.com.
- Open Events, then Settings in the side menu.
- Press Connect Zoom.
- Zoom opens and asks you to sign in, then shows what Just Frank is asking to do. Press Allow.
- You come back to Just Frank and see the Zoom account you connected, with a green dot. That’s it.
One Zoom account can be connected to one business. If you see “That Zoom account is already connected to another community”, disconnect it there first or use a different Zoom account.
Using the app
Fresh Zoom links, made for you
When someone books a call, or you create a calendar event or workshop, Just Frank creates a Zoom meeting on your Zoom account and puts the link in the invite and the reminders. Nothing to copy or paste. Each booking gets its own meeting, each calendar series gets one, and each workshop guest gets their own join link.
The note-taker
Turn on the note-taker for a booking type or an event and Just Frank’s note-taker joins the Zoom call as a participant, named so everyone on the call can see it is a note-taker. It records the call and writes notes, and you find the recording and notes under Events, then Calls. The first 5 hours are free, then it uses credits.
Zoom’s own recording
If your Zoom plan can record to the cloud, Zoom can record your Just Frank calls itself. On Events, then Settings, press Set up Zoom recording for me. It turns on two things in your Zoom: cloud recording and the audio transcript. Nothing else in your Zoom changes.
- Only meetings Just Frank created for you are brought in. Your other Zoom meetings are left alone.
- A call is only recorded when recording is on for that booking type or event, and the client has not asked for no recording.
- The recording, its transcript and a summary show up under Events, then Calls, marked “Recorded by Zoom”.
- The first 5 hours are free. After that a recorded call uses 5 credits an hour.
- Video is kept for 1 year, then deleted. The transcript and summary are kept.
If your Zoom plan cannot record to the cloud, the note-taker records your calls instead.
Who attended
After a meeting ends, Just Frank reads the list of people who joined, so you can see who actually showed up to each session.
What Just Frank can see in your Zoom account
- Your Zoom name, email and account ID, to show which account is connected.
- Your recording settings, so we can tell you if cloud recording is off. We only change them when you press Set up Zoom recording for me.
- The meetings Just Frank creates for you, and their registrants.
- The list of people who joined those meetings, after they end.
- The recordings and AI summaries of the meetings Just Frank created for you.
- A short-lived pass for each call the note-taker joins, so it can join on your behalf and record without asking you to press Allow. Each pass works for one meeting and runs out after about two minutes.
Your Zoom sign-in tokens are stored encrypted. Just Frank does not read your other Zoom meetings, chats or contacts. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle data in general.
Removing the app
You can remove it from either side. Both do the same thing.
From Just Frank
- Open Events, then Settings.
- Press Disconnect next to your Zoom account, then confirm.
From Zoom
- Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace and open Manage, then Added Apps.
- Find JustFrank Zoom and press Remove.
What happens after you remove it
- Just Frank deletes your Zoom connection and your Zoom sign-in tokens straight away, and stops reading anything from your Zoom account.
- New bookings and events no longer get a Zoom link made for them. You can paste your own meeting link instead.
- Zoom meetings already created stay in your Zoom account, and their links keep working.
- Recordings, notes and attendance already in Just Frank stay with your events. To have them deleted too, email hello@itsjustfrank.com from the address on your account and we will remove them within 30 days.
Troubleshooting
Zoom shows an error when I press Connect
Make sure you are signed in to the Zoom account you want to connect, then try again. If your Zoom account belongs to a company, your Zoom admin may need to allow Marketplace apps. Still stuck? Email us with a screenshot.
My event has no Zoom link
Check that Zoom shows as connected on Events, then Settings. If it says Zoom needs reconnecting, press Reconnect Zoom on that page. Events that use your own pasted link keep that link.
The note-taker didn’t join
Check that the note-taker is on for that booking type or event, and that the meeting uses the Zoom link Just Frank made, not a pasted link of your own.
